Michelle Lizotte, 41, of Jacquith Road in Jaffrey died Monday, February 20, 2012 at the Monadnock Community Hospital after a sudden illness.

Michelle was born on December 2, 1970 in Peterborough, NH, daughter of Roland and Louise (Lambert) Baillargeon.  She was a 1992 graduate of Conant High School.

Michelle married Bradley Lizotte in 1992 and moved with him to Jacksonville, North Carolina while he served in the U. S. Marines.  Afterwards, and together as a family, they moved back home to Jaffrey where they have lived ever since.  

Michelle’s son’s health care needs kept her close to home, but she would always say that Jonathan was not only her son, he was her life, and she enjoyed her role as mom and caregiver.  

Michelle’s caring nature was also evident as she would often help the elderly in the area while working with Home Healthcare and HCS.  She devoted much of her free time to her love of cheerleading and had coached the Con-Val High School Cheerleaders for 4 years and the Conant High School Cheerleaders for 3 years.   She also enjoyed working with ceramics and painting.    

She was predeceased by her brothers Mark Roland Baillargeon and Peter Phillip Baillargeon, and by her sister Nicole Renee Baillargeon.

In addition to her parents who live in Troy, Michelle is survived by her husband of 19 years, Bradley D. Lizotte of Jaffrey; her 2 daughters, Kimberly and Cathryn Lizotte, and her 2 sons Michael Benoit and Jonathan Lizotte, all of Jaffrey; her 3 grandchildren, Raven Fleck, Makenzie Benoit, and Charles Beers; her sister Lynda and her husband Carl Blake of Troy; 3 nephews, Aaron, Spencer and Clayton Blake; aunts, uncles, cousins, and her loving in-laws, Wayne and Sue Davis, and Brad’s brother Francis Lizotte, all of Jaffrey.<p>[<a href="http://cournoyerfh.com/pages/show_content.php?siteid=37&action=1&value=12&obituaries_action=3&obituaryid=115681">Sign Guestbook</a>]  [<a href="http://cournoyerfh.com/pages/show_content.php?siteid=37&action=1&value=12&obituaries_action=5&obituaryid=115681">View Guestbook</a>]</p>]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://cournoyerfh.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/37_115568.jpg" alt="Oris P. Pelkey, Sr," />Oris P. Pelkey, Sr. 70, of Pine Street, Jaffrey died Sunday February 19, 2012 at his residence, following a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born October 15, 1941 in Jaffrey, son of the late Alfred and Yvonne (Gauthier) Pelkey. Oris had attended Jaffrey schools and has been a life long resident of this community.

He worked as a mechanic his entire life, first for D.D. Bean and Sons, then later for Millipore Corp and retired in 2009 from Teleflex.

Oris loved camping, especially at Greenfield State Park. He enjoyed watching Western movies and shows, and was a big fan of Johnny Cash. He enjoyed building things and was a man that always had a “Home Improvement” project. He was a kind person and helped his sisters and family members with anything that he could do for them.
Most cherished to him was the time he spent with his family.

He is survived by his wife of thirty years and best friend for thirty eight years, Penny McDonald of Jaffrey; four daughters Roberta Chamberlain and her husband Robert of Rindge, Bonnie Lawrence also of Rindge, Anne Pelkey of Dublin and Amanda Pelkey, USMC of Quantico, VA; his step daughter Nicole Goulet and husband Bryan of Antioch, Illinois; and his “daughter by choice not by birth” Molly Powers of Antrim; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five sisters, Lorraine Holman of Winchendon, MA., Rita Chamberlain, Alice Sirois, and Marie Renee all of Jaffrey, and Felice and her husband Harvey Johnson; two brothers Franklin Pelkey of Marlborough and Andrew Pelkey of Winchendon; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and several brothers and sisters, he was predeceased by his son Oris P. <description><![CDATA[<img src="http://cournoyerfh.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/37_115695.jpg" alt="Mary L. Pelfrey" />Mary Louise Pelfrey, 73 of Peterborough, died Sunday February 19, 2012 at the Good Shepherd Healthcare Center in Jaffrey after a period of failing health.

Mrs. Pelfrey was born on September 11, 1938 in Marlborough, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Pasquale and Eva (Bertonazzi) Moffa.  She was a 1956 graduate of Peter&#039;s high school in Southborough, Massachusetts, and a graduate of the Framingham Nursing School.   Mrs. Pelfrey was a Registered Nurse specializing in wound care and oncology care.  She had worked at the Framingham Hospital and at several hospitals in California before retiring in 2000.

Throughout her life she had lived in Massachusetts, California and most recently New Hampshire.   She enjoyed playing cards, singing karaoke, and billiards.

Mrs. Pelfrey was preceded in death by her sister Ellen Boswell. <description><![CDATA[<img src="http://cournoyerfh.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/37_115399.jpg" alt="Charles &quot;Chuck&quot;  W. Dignan" />Charles “Chuck” W. Dignan, 70, of Jaffrey entered into rest February 10, 2012, at the Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough .
Born in Norwood, MA, August 20, 1941, he was the son of the late Charles and Alice (Seavey) Dignan.  He was also the step-son of the late Ruth Dignan. A son Charles W. Jr. predeceased him.  
Chuck attended Appleton Academy in New Ipswich and Fitchburg High School prior to serving his country in the Army National Guard.  He was self-employed as a contractor and in later years as a “disaster” insurance adjuster.  He was a long time resident of Jaffrey and New Ipswich.
Chuck was a member of the Jaffrey American Legion Post 11 and auxiliary member of the VFW Post 5613.  He was an avid football, Nascar and motorcycle enthusiast.   
His family includes his daughter Alice Casavant and her children Nicholas and Christa, of Gardner, MA, his brothers Ernest and his wife Carol of Edgewater, FL and Laurence and his wife Lynne of Gardner, MA. He also leaves his stepbrothers Douglas and Dorothy Baker of Del Ray, Florida and Richard and Kathy Baker of Swampscott, MA, his former wife and close friend Marilyn Vose and his step-children Ron Houston of Holly Springs, NC and Shannon Couture of Spring Lake, NC and their families and very special friends the Hunt Family of Jaffrey, NH.

Joan A. Rockwell, 69, of Bigelow Hill Road in Troy died peacefully on Thursday February 9, 2012, at her home while surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Worcester MA, on August 19, 1942, daughter of the late Frederick G. and Marion (Pelkey) Singleton, Sr.  

Joan attended schools in Troy and had lived in Fitzwilliam and Peterborough before moving to Troy.  She had retired in 2004 from New Hampshire Ball Bearing in Peterborough after working as an inspector there for over 27 years.

She was a fan of Jeff Gordon and had attended many of the NASCAR races in Loudon.  She also enjoyed softball, crafts, jigsaw puzzles and spending time with family and friends.  Her door was always open.

She married Arthur F. Rockwell, Jr on August 6, 1988.  He died on December 19, 1988.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Fred Singleton Jr. in 1997 and her mother died on November 22, 2011.

Travers L. Rank, 87, of Currier Avenue, Peterborough died peacefully, with his son by his side on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at the Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough after a brief illness.

He was born on October 23, 1924 in Ohio, New York, son of the late Leo and Amy (Young) Rank. 
Mr. Rank graduated in 1943 from Herkimer (NY) High School. Following high school, he served his country in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater during World War II.  

Upon returning from the Navy, Mr. Rank married his sweetheart, Dolores Brown on September 11, 1948 and soon after, returned to school and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from Utica College in 1952.

After moving to New Hampshire Mr. &amp; Mrs. Rank opened Seven Falcon Inc. in Antrim, a fastener distributorship which they owned and operated for over 30 years.

Mr. Rank had been a resident of Peterborough for the past forty-five years.  He was a self-proclaimed workaholic and didn’t have many interests other than working and providing for his family.  However, he did cherish his family and all the special times spent together with them.

Mr. Rank is survived by his son Travers A. Rank and his wife Vicky of Antrim; his two grandchildren, Travers and Madison also of Antrim; his “daughter by choice” Robin Nolan of New Ipswich, and many close friends.

Lorraine Anna (Maki) Desrosiers, 75, of Dark Lane Road in New Ipswich, died February 8, 2012 at the Kindred Hospital - Parkview in Rochdale, MA from complications of a stroke

She was born in New Ipswich, NH on June 25, 1936, daughter of the late George and Helen (Hill) Maki, and had lived her entire life in New Ipswich.  

Throughout her life she was dedicated to her church and community.  She worked with her husband of 54 years at their family-owned business in New Ipswich - Ken&#039;s T.V. &amp; Appliance since 1972.  

Lorraine is known for her love of baking.  She also enjoyed knitting and her cats.   She was most proud of obtaining her GED later in life.

Lorraine was predeceased by her brother George Maki, Jr.

Dalton" />Eleanor Dora (Patten) Stockbridge Dalton, 87, Rindge, died peacefully Monday February 6, 2012 at the Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, surrounded by many of her large family.  

Eleanor was born on September 24, 1924, daughter of Fred and Lura (Gray) Patten, and grew up in the Belmont, Gilmanton and Alton areas of New Hampshire.  She married Carl Stockbridge, Sr. in 1940 and she spent much of her life as a housewife and mother to her children in their home in Belmont, NH.  

She married Hal Dalton in 1965 and resided in Belmont where they lived until 1980. Together they moved to their new home in Rindge where they spent most of their time farming, canning and tending the gardens. They also boarded horses, raised chickens and pigs, and had beautiful flower gardens. They loved having family over to visit, cooking a big meal and playing card games, board games, and puzzles. Eleanor and Hal were married 35 years before Hal passed away in 2001.  

Eleanor spent the last few years being cared for by her Granddaughter, Mandy Elliott and her two young children, Veronica and Vanessa, at the same home in Rindge where she had spent the last 32 years. “Grammy Dalton” enjoyed helping Veronica with her homework, playing games with Vanessa and coloring, too. Eleanor spent her weekdays at the Monadnock Adult Care Center on North Street in Jaffrey where she enjoyed her time with many of her friends playing bingo, doing puzzles, listening to music and much more.

Eleanor, widow of Hal Dalton (2001), is also predeceased by two of her daughters, Ellie Gallucci and Linda Lord, a granddaughter Patty Beringer, and 2 grandsons Robert Leroux Sr. and Larry Elliott II.

Eleanor is survived by her first husband and father to her children, Carl Stockbridge Sr. of Gilmanton. She is also survived by a son Carl Stockbridge Jr. and his wife Sandra of Belmont and 4 daughters Marie Ostiguy and her husband Roger of New Braintree, MA; Judy Dagen and her husband Neil of Sharon, NH; Sharon Elliott and her husband Larry of Northfield, NH and Jean Hueber and her husband Roland of Gilmanton, NH.  She was “Mother” to seven, but “Grammy Dalton” to many. She leaves behind 27 Grandchildren, 59 Great Grandchildren and 10 Great Great Grandchildren.

Davis, 76 died peacefully Sunday, February 5, 2012, with her family by her side at the Good Shepherd Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Jaffrey, NH, where she lived happily for many years and was known as “Gracie” to the staff.  

She was born on December 18, 1935 in York, PA and remained in the area for most of her adult life.   She was married for 47 years to the late George J. Davis.  As an avid cook and baker, she co-owned and operated Georgie’s Deli in East York with her husband prior to her retirement.  She relocated to Rindge, NH following his death in 2002 to live with her daughter and grandchildren.  As a resident of NH, she attended adult daycare at Castle Center  HCS in Keene  and First Congregational Church, UCC in Rindge, NH.  She will be remembered fondly by her family as an excellent cook and a fun-loving grandmother.

Surviving family members include her daughter Cynthia Davis-Melhorn of Ayer, MA,  grandchildren Emily and Jordan Melhorn of Jaffrey, NH and Melissa Melhorn of Franklin, NH.  She was preceeded in death by her son-in-law, Rev. James Melhorn of Rindge, NH.

Babneau, 88, longtime resident of Dublin and more recently of Alstead NH died peacefully Friday February 3, 2012 at the Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough following a period of failing health.

She was born September 21, 1923 in Keene, daughter of the late Frank E. and Hattie (Brown) White.
She had attended schools in Keene and had been a resident of Dublin since 1944.

Doris had worked for the New Hampshire Ball Bearing Company in Peterborough for twenty four years, retiring in 1970.
Following her retirement she enjoyed helping several Dublin residents with cooking and doing errands for them. She considered these people as her extended family.

Fishing and gardening were her two favorite past times. She especially enjoyed baking and canning and sharing it with others. Dot was known for giving away her homemade donuts, pickles and apple pies.
She was happiest spending time with her family.

Doris’s children would like to thank all of her doctors and nurses for their excellent care and compassion shown to their mother and also Hospice for their services and use of their room at Monadnock Community Hospital. Doris’s daughters would also like to thank their brother Ed for his many years of selfless dedication and care for their mother.

She is survived by her son Clarence Edward Babneau of Alstead with whom she had lived;  daughters Betty Wilkinson and her husband Bob of Manchester, Doris Bunk of Dublin, Linda LaFlamme and husband Larry of Dublin and Karen Lightbody and her husband John of Stoddard; 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Clarence “Chick” Babneau who died in 1986; her daughter Nancy Murray, a brother William M.
