MARILYN C. METZGER, 86, of Pine Eden Road, Rindge, died Sunday January 31, 2010 at the Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough, following a brief illness.
She was born August 23, 1923 on Staten Island NY, daughter of the late August and Elsie Frieda (Kashavsky) Palmer.
She has been a resident of Rindge for the past twenty five years and had previously lived in Huntington Station NY.
She was married for 57 years to Quentin R. “Curly” Metzger. He died October 1, 2006. Her brother William Palmer of Staten Island preceded her in death; she has a sister Mrs. Shirley Elfers who resides in Staten Island, NY.
She was loved and cared for the past three years by her daughter Kim L. Smith and Kevin Singleton of Fitzwilliam and her granddaughter and grandson-in-law Kelly and Jeffrey Pujue and five great grandchildren Denzel, Jordan, Jason, Jada and Sierra of Peterborough. She is also survived by her son Scott Metzger and his wife Diana of Huntington, NY and two grandchildren Stacey and Renee also of Huntington NY Marilyn was the beloved friend of Mrs. Mildred Taylor of Lee, MA.
Marilyn was a fun loving and witty person, she enjoyed watching nature and people. She also loved the outdoors and gardening and country drives
