Bertha M. Record, 61, of Jaffrey, NH died peacefully in her home after a courageous battle with lung cancer on March 23, 2009. At her side were her husband and only daughter.

Born in Peterborough, NHon October 2, 1947, Bert lived her whole life in Jaffrey. She was the daughter of Homer and Olivine (Cote) Christian. She graduated from Conant High School in 1965 and attended Keene State College. She went into management at NH Ball Bearings, where she worked for 20 years. She then joined forces with her dear friend Jane Zimmel as a screen printer extraordinaire at Adpro, where she worked until she fell ill.

Bert was very involved in her community and a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She supported her husband and other firefighters for many years. She was an avid golfer, loved being outdoors, and could not go more than a day without seeing her granddaughters. She was full of faith and always sought and believed in the goodness of people.

She is survived by her proud husband of 37 years, Raymond H. Record, her grateful daughter and son-in-law Nicolle and Michael Tenters of Jaffrey, her two granddaughters, Isabelle and Emma, her sister Laura Pratt of Jaffrey, her brother Richard (Dick) and his wife Zita Christian of Manchester, CT, andmany loving nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

She was predeceased by her mother, father, stepfather Ernest LaFleur, brothers Albert (Albie) Christian, Raymond (Chris) Christian, sister Beverly McDonald and her nephew Albert Christian Jr.

Memorial donations may be made to the Kingsbury Patient Relief Fund (KPRF) c/o Cheshire Health Foundation, 580 Court Street, Keene, NH 03431, in support of the nurses and oncology workers who will shave their heads on April 25, 2009 to raise funds for oncology patients.

Burial will be in the spring at the familys convenience.

Family and friends are warmly invited to calling hours which will be held on Friday, March 27, 2009 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Cournoyer Funeral Home Cremation Center, 33 River Street (Route 202) Jaffrey.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Saint Patrick Church, 89 Main Street in Jaffrey.
