Beth E. Dunning

Beth E. Dunning, 62, of Jaffrey, NH, died on Friday, February 13, 2015, at the Catholic Medical Center in Manchester after a sudden illness. Beth was born on June 27, 1952 in Newton, MA, daughter of the late Clinton and Martha (Paul) Shannon. She was raised in Newton and graduated from Newton North High School in 1970. Beth continued her education at Nasson College in Springvale, Maine. Throughout her childhood, she and her family spent their summers in Rindge. On July 27, 1975, Beth married Lloyd Dunning Jr. and together they made Jaffrey and Rindge their home ever since. Beth was an animal lover and was always a spirited conversationalist. She enjoyed gardening and would always stock up on vegetable seeds when spring grew near. She loved starting massive gardens to keep Junior busy. Beth is fondly remembered for being very family oriented and always spending time with her grandchildren. Her firework shows, barbeques and other family gatherings will truly be missed by all who were closest to her. She also was a Girl Scout leader of many years and enjoyed camping with the girls. Beth is survived by her husband of 39 years, Lloyd C. Dunning, Jr. of Jaffrey, NH; her daughter Vanessa Williams and her fiancé Richard A. LaJoie, Jr. of Jaffrey; her grandchildren, Zander M. Williams and Connor E. LaJoie; her sister Ruth E. Bergmann; her niece Shannon L. Glidden and her nephew Edward C. Glidden, as well as many cousins and friends.
