Beverly P. MacDonald

Beverly P. MacDonald, 71, of Court Street in Keene died Monday, February 26, 2007 at the Genesis Healthcare Center in Keene after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Peterborough, NH on May 4, 1935, daughter of the late Homer and Olivine (Cote) Christian and was a 1953 graduate of Conant High School

Mrs. MacDonald spent several years in Boston working for the Agricultural Society before moving back to Jaffrey. She married Chester A. MacDonald and spent most of her life as a stay-at-home mom. Later, Mrs. MacDonald returned to work and was employed at MPB briefly and then at Millipore in Jaffrey where she retired from in 1995.

She was pre-deceased by her husband in 1987 and her brothers Albert and Raymond Christian.

Mrs. MacDonald is survived by her daughter Sonya Goodell and her son William and his wife Terri MacDonald, all of Keene; 4 grandchildren, Amy and Steven Newcombe and Brianna and Jared Goodell; 2 sisters, Laura Pratt and Bertha Record, both of Jaffrey and a brother Richard Christian of Manchester, CT, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Friends and family are warmly invited to calling hours on Friday, March 2, 2007 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Cournoyer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 33 River Street, (Route 202 South) Jaffrey.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, March 3, 2007 at 2:00PM in St. Patrick Church, 89 Main Street, Jaffrey. Rev. Wilfred H. Deschamps, Pastor, will officiate. Spring Burial will be in Conant Cemetery in Jaffrey at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. MacDonald'™s name to the American Lung Association of New Hampshire 9 Cedarwood Drive, Unit 12, Bedford, NH 03110, or your own favorite charity.
