Dawn E. Finnegan

Dawn Elizabeth Finnegan, 49, of New Ipswich, died in the comfort of her home, Friday afternoon, October 21, 2016, with the love of her family surrounding her.

She was born on May 18, 1967, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Daniel E. and Dorothy J. (Stegman) Stallman. She moved frequently and lived in St. Louis, MO, Newport News, VA, Atlanta, GA, Chester, NJ, Toulouse, France, Hopkinton, MA, and Marlboro, MA. She graduated from West Morris Central High School, with the Class of 1985, while living in Chester, NJ. Her final move was to New Ipswich, NH in 2009.

She married Richard G. Finnegan, in a ceremony at the Luxor Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, on June 14, 2008.

Dawn worked for Georgia Pacific as an Administrative Assistant while living in Atlanta.

She enjoyed cooking and traveling, as long as it was not by plane. She looked forward to time spent with friends and family, at social gatherings and making greeting cards for her loved ones special occasions. She was a media fanatic. She loved music, television and movies. To her, the Oscars were her “Super Bowl”.

She is survived by her loving husband, of 8 years: Richard G. Finnegan of New Ipswich; her parents: Daniel E. Stallman of Eureka, MO and her mother and step father Dorothy J. and Danny Shelby of Cartersville, GA; her children, from a previous marriage: Emma McWilliams of Hopkinton, MA and Declan McWilliams also of Hopkinton, MA; three brothers: Douglas Stallman and his wife Melissa of House Springs, MO, Rusty Shelby of Atlanta, GA and Dustin Shelby of Atlanta, GA; her Father and Mother in law: Richard Finnegan and his wife Georgia of Naples, FL, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Calling Hours will be from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Friday, October 28, 2016 in the Cournoyer Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 33 River Street, Jaffrey, NH.

A Funeral Service will follow the calling hours at 5:00 pm in the Cournoyer Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wilfred Deschamps, Pastor of Saint Patrick Church in Jaffrey officiating.

Burial will be held privately at a later date.
