Elizabeth Barnaby

Elizabeth Barnaby, 100, of Jaffrey and formerly of Peterborough, NH and Winchester, MA, died peacefully on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at the Good Shepherd Healthcare Center in Jaffrey.

She was born on September 4, 1918 in Westborough, MA, daughter of the late Krikor and Takoohi (Kaprelian) Daniels. Mrs. Barnaby had attended schools in Boston and married Peter M. Barnaby on May 10, 1935. He predeceased her on January 20, 2006.

Mrs. Barnaby was a fastidious homemaker and a dedicated gardener. A blade of crabgrass would never dare to appear on her front lawn.

Mrs. Barnaby is survived by her daughter, Sylvia Hamilton and her husband Charles of Jaffrey; two granddaughters, Cynthia Rouvalis and her husband Mark of Concord, NH, and Alyssa Shooshan and her husband Joel Maiola of Bedford, NH; a grandson, Erik Hamilton and his wife Lisa of Winchester, MA and three great-grandchildren, Maria and Peter Rouvalis and Kate Shooshan.

At her request, there will be no calling hours. Services and burial will be private in Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge, MA.
