Elsie Braga Pepelnjak Peterson

Elsie Braga Pepelnjak Peterson ,98, died peacefully on August 3, due to complications from pneumonia. A vibrant spirit, she remained in her own home at RiverMead until her death, independent to the end.

Originally from Eveleth and Virginia, Minnesota, she lived in Nyack, New York for 25 years before moving to Peterborough in 1999.

She was predeceased by her first husband Steve J. Pepelnjak and her second husband, Paul P. Peterson, three sisters and two brothers.

She leaves two daughters: Stephanie (John) Minteer of Jaffrey and Anna Marie (Gary Buerstatte) Pepelnjak of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Arrangements are being made by the Cournoyer Funeral Home. Burial will be private in Virginia, Minnesota.

A memorial mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Divine Mercy Parish in Peterborough on Thursday, September 19, followed by a reception for friends and family at RiverMead.
