Ernest "Duke" Davis

Ernest “Duke” Davis, 83, longtime resident of Peterborough, NH died on March 31, 2016 at Monadnock Community Hospital, Peterborough, after a period of declining health.
Duke was born on September 20, 1932 in Raymond, NH a son of the late Edward and Dagnon Davis.
He faithfully served his country with the United States Army during WWII.
Duke married Constance (Viola) on January 1, 1964 and together they have lived in Peterborough for many years.
He had many interests, but his main hobby was building trikes. He had a true love and passion for Harley’s, not only riding them but fixing them also.
In addition to his wife, Connie, Duke is survived by his son’s; Michael and his wife Gerrie Davis and Ernest Davis Jr, One grandchild; Sarah Potter and two sisters; Polly Baker and Grace Jackson.
Services: A graveside service with full Military Honors will be held at the New Hampshire State Veterans’ Cemetery, Boscawen, NH on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 1:00PM.
All motorcycles are asked to meet at the Jaffrey American Legion Hall on that morning at 10:00 AM to ride in procession to the cemetery.
A celebration of life will be held for Duke on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at the Jaffrey American Legion Hall starting at 3:00 PM.
