ERVIN F. BLOOD, 62, of Blood Road in Temple died suddenly and unexpectedly while visiting his son in Port Henry NY on Sunday May 8, 2011.

He was born in Peterborough on September 7, 1948, son of the late Wallace and Frances (Jacobus) Blood. He had attended the Temple Elementary School as well as Appleton Academy in New Ipswich.

Butch has lived in Temple for the past twenty six years and previously sixteen years in Jaffrey. He had worked at the NH Ball Bearing in Peterborough as well as Whellens Auto in Temple, Monadnock Water in Wilton, Hedrick Wire and Cable in Milford, the former Mon-Fab Steel in Rindge and J. Oren Belletete in Jaffrey.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing, coin collecting, maple sugaring and camping in the North Country.

He is survived by his wife of twenty six years, Tammy (Castor) Blood of Antrim; his daughter Tammie Gosselin of Newport NH; five sons, Steven Blood of Newport, James Blood of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, William Blood of Port Henry ,NY, Kevin Blood of Newport and Scott Blood of Temple; a brother Benton Blood of Temple; 13 grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Burial in the Miller Cemetery in Temple will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Family and friends are warmly invited to call at the Cournoyer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 33 River Street in Jaffrey on Saturday from 3:00PM to 5:00PM.

A funeral service will be held at 5:00PM at the funeral home.
