EXZELIA L. BUTLER, 90, of Plantation Drive Jaffrey died Friday March 2, 2007 at the Good Shepherd Health Center in Jaffrey, following a period of failing health.
She was born September 28, 1916 in Fitzwilliam daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Meatty) Champney.
She graduated in 1935 from Murdock High School in Winchendon, MA
'œZell' worked as a supervisor for more than thirty years at W. W. Cross Co. in Jaffrey, retiring in 1981.
She was an active member of the United Church of Jaffrey. She sang in the church choir and was a member of Triple D at the church.
Survivors include her daughter Cathy Ann Doucette of Woodlandhills, CA; three grandchildren Maurice and Paul Sesia of Rindge and Tracy Doucette of Woodlandhills, CA; two great grandchildren Adam and Nichole Sesia both of Rindge; two brothers Herbert Champney of Rindge and Larry Champney Sr. of Cape Coral Florida; two sisters Evelyn Stevens of Effingham and Victoria Butler of Jaffrey.
She was predeceased by her son Philip J. Sesia on December 9, 2003 as well as her former husbands Maurice Sesia, Lawrence 'œPat' Harper and Frederick J. Butler, also her brother Ernest Champney Sr. and great granddaughter Ashley Sesia on September 29, 1988.
There will be no calling hours.
A Memorial service will be held Saturday May 12, 2007 at 11:00AM at the United Church of Jaffrey, 54 Main Street, Jaffrey. Rev. Janice Shepherd, Interim Pastor will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the United Church of Jaffrey, 54 Main Street, Jaffrey NH 03452.
The Cournoyer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 33 River Street, Jaffrey NH is assisting the family with arrangements.
