Francis Vetre, 77, of Morgan Road in Richmond, died Saturday July 12,2008 at his home following a long illness.
He was born August 9, 1930 in New Britain CT, son of the late John and Mary (Sangermana) Vetre.
 
He was a graduate of New Britain High School, and had attended Central College in New Britain.
 
Mr. Vetre served with the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member the Disabled American Veterans.
 
He worked as a carpenter for the State of Connecticut at DCYS for sixteen years before retiring.
He has been a resident of Richmond for the past six years, and had previously lived in Winchester NH
 
He loved fishing, collecting antiques, and dearly loved his four cats.
 
Survivors include his wife of 24 years, whom he married on August 16, 1984, Patricia (Grant) Vetre of Richmond; four brothers Daniel Vetre of Havertown PA, Anthony (Tony) Vetre of Wethersfield CT, Samuel Vetre of Winchester NH and Edward Vetre of Burlington CT; two sisters Ruth Liebegott of Essex CT and Julia Pernel of Florida; several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Benedict Center, 97 Faye Martin Road, Richmond, NH 03470.

Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Earl Howard Cemetery, East Athol Road in Richmond.

Family and friends are warmly invited to call at the Cournoyer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 33 River Street (Route 202 south) in Jaffrey on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00PM

A Requiem Mass will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2008 at 9:00AM in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church (St. Stanislaus) in Winchester NH.
