Hector A. Boudrieau

Hector A. Boudrieau, 90, of Nutting Road in Jaffrey, died peacefully Sunday May 29, 2011 at the Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough, following a six month battle with cancer.
He was born April 20, 1921 in Jaffrey son of the late Frank and Marianna (Caron) Boudrieau. He had attended Jaffrey schools and has been a life long resident of this community.
He had formally worked at W.W. Cross Co. in Jaffrey and also as a heating specialist for the former Hafeli Fuel and Ice Company in Peterborough.

For more than twenty years Mr. Hector as he is known to a younger generation of Jaffrey residents, was the Sexton for St. Patrick Parish. His job description was maintenance man; however he was far more than that. He was in charge of the church and school as well as other parish buildings. He was a jack of all trades and seldom did the parish have to call in local contractors when Mr. Hector was there. He also maintained the parish cemetery and was grounds keeper for the parish.

Upon leaving the parish he was Superintendant of Jaffrey Water Department until his retirement in 1985.
Following his retirement Mr. Hector worked everyday with his son at Boudrieau Tool Inc. in Rindge. He had worked until last fall when he was diagnosed with cancer.

Hector was an active family man. He was willing to do anything in order to help any of his family at any time.
He was married to Louise E. (Bussiere ) Boudrieau for forty nine years, she died April 5,1991.

He is survived by his daughter Gloria P. Klocker and her husband Carl of Ellington CT; his son Dennis H. Boudrieau and his wife Anne of Rindge; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great great grandson; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was also predeceased by his brothers Robert and Roland.

Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Jaffrey.

Friends and family are warmly invited to call at the Cournoyer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 33 River Street, Jaffrey on Wednesday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday at 1:00PM in St. Patrick Church, 87 Main Street, Jaffrey
