Mr. Whipple was born in Fitzwilliam on April 14, 1916, son of the late Henry S. and Minnie (Thompson) Whipple. He attended local schools and had lived in the same house he was born in throughout his entire life.

He also had riding horses he would rent to the camp as well as use privately. Mr Whipple loved the warm sunshine and he spent most of this winters in Florida in his later years. He always enjoyed talking with family and friends about the way things used to be and the prices of things in the old days. One of his favorite stories was often shared about the price he paid for a car and the price of a Model A Ford.

He was preceded in death by three grandsons and one granddaughter.
