Rindge

Isabelle E. Izzy Young, 80, formerly of Rindge died Sunday May 1, 2011 at the Keene Genesis Center following a period of failing health.

She was born May 24, 1930 in Stoneham, MA, daughter of the late Joseph S. and Helen M (James) Orender Sr. She was the granddaughter of Frank and Gertrude James of Rindge.
She has been a resident of Keene since March 2008; previously she lived on Water Street in Troy and before that in Rindge.

Isabelle worked as a waitress and bar tender at various restaurants in the Monadnock area, most recently was at Cyprus Grove in Rindge and previously at the Red Rooster.

For six years she was a home health care provider for elderly area residents in their homes. She touched the lives of many young people in Rindge as she was a baby sitter and friend for many families through out the years. She was not a joiner. She did not belong to any groups or organizations because as she would say I hang with young folks, not the old folks! She will be remembered as driving around town with The Boss sitting by her side. Sassie her Bichon always rode up front with Isabelle, and friends rode in the back seat.
Family members include her daughter Faith Young of Jaffrey; her son Walter Young Jr. and his wife Patti of Rindge; a granddaughter Heather McLain; a grandson Zachary Young; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister Frances Gerry Iorio of Lady Lakes FL. and her brother Joseph S. Orender, Jr. of Melrose MA.

Private burial in Hillside Cemetery on Goddard Road in Rindge will be at the convenience of the family.

As per her wishes, there will be neither calling hours nor formal funeral services at this time.
