James A. ‘Jimmy’ Seppala, 56, of Rindge, New Hampshire died suddenly and unexpectedly on Saturday, March 9, 2013. He died how he lived, “Hammer down, hair straight back”, and went to be with Jesus. Jimmy was born on June 14, 1956 in Winchendon, Massachusetts. Jimmy grew up in Rindge; his roots ran deep. He attended Rindge Memorial and Conant High School. He was not a veteran, but was considered a true patriot and proudly displayed his American flag. He was co-owner with his brother Cal, of Ji-Cal Masonry, Inc. for 29 years. Jimmy had a heart of compassion, always encouraging, and always uplifting others. God blessed him with the gift of playing guitar. His love for hymns and songs of Zion blessed, comforted, inspired and encouraged countless souls. He loved God, loved his family, loved hockey with his sons and grandsons, loved his house full of friends and family, loved his Dunkins coffee. He loved. Period. He was predeceased by his brothers Ralph Seppala in 1962, and Philip Seppala in 1969. Jimmy is survived by his parents, Edwin and Mary Ann (Haapaoja) Seppala, of Lantana, Fla, He leaves behind the woman he adored, Margaret “Peggy” (Wiinikka) Seppala. They were married for 38 years, 4 months, 1 week, and 5 days. Also his children: son Richard with Toini and grandchildren Janeya, Braeden, Shila, Jarret, Saraya, Daxten and Sayana of Fitzwilliam, NH; daughter Naomi with Isaac Jussila and grandchildren Logan, Trenton, Chanelle, and Latasha, of Rindge; son Randy with Heather and grandchildren Aralyn and Emmeriss, of Ashby, MA, daughter Shanna with Roy Pyhala and grandson Maxum of Greer, SC; son Gregory with Emily and grandchildren Donovan, Ivanna, Damara, and Peyton of Rindge; son Grant with Jessica and granddaughter Paige, of Rindge; daughter Brianna of Rindge; son Jamen of Rindge; daughter Sara of Rindge with fiance Jerome Muhonen; sons Josiah, and Uriah of Rindge; His brothers: Michael and Kathy of Rindge; Paul and Sharon of Rindge; Calvin and Brenda of Rindge; Peter and Mary Lynn of Rindge; Timmy and Pam of Battle Ground, WA; His sisters Ann and Jack Matson of Yacolt, WA; Susan and Lyle Stenersen of Rindge; Darlene and Jon West of Rindge; Carla and Chet Olin of La Center, WA, Jennie and Adam Aho of Rindge; mother-in-law, Marge Hilman of Vancouver, WA, and so many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends whom he all loved dearly. The Burial and Graveside service took place at Hillside Cemetery in Rindge on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 and may be viewed by clicking on the 'Video Tribute' button on the left. Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Apostolic Lutheran Church, 117 Goen Road, New Ipswich, NH 03071 The funeral service for Jimmy will begin at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at the Apostolic Lutheran Chuch.
