James H. Jones

James H. Jones, 66, of Payson Hill Road in Rindge died Tuesday May 1, 2012 at Applewood HealthCare and Rehabilitation Center in Winchester following a period of failing health. He was born April 17, 1946 in Winchendon, MA son of the late Paul A. and Myrtle (Packard) Jones. “Jimmy” grew up in Rindge and was a 1964 graduate of Conant High School in Jaffrey. Following high school he served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era and was stationed in Korea and Germany. Upon his military discharge he attended Bentley College where he received his BA degree in Accounting. He was employed as an accountant at SK Foundations in New Ipswich, Tommilla Brothers in Fitzwilliam and at Millipore Corp in Jaffrey for eighteen years until health issues forced his retirement. He was an avid sports fan and loved animals especially his cocker spaniels. He enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles and spending time on the computer. Family members include his wife of thirty seven years Linda (Brodmerkle) Jones of Winchester; his sister Wendy Jayne of Rindge; three brothers David P. Jones of Ft.Myers, FL, Paul A. Jones, Jr and Robert W. Jones both of Rindge; many nieces and nephews.

Private burial will be in the Jones family lot in Hillside Cemetery, Goddard Road, Rindge.

As per his request, there will be no calling hours.

A Memorial Service will be held Monday May 7, 2012 at 11:00AM in the First Congregational Church and Society of Rindge.
