JAMES P. LABRAKE, 81 of Water Street, Troy died Sunday February 4, 2007 at his residence.

He was born March 17, 1925 in Bombay, New York one of seventeen children born to Ora and Josephine (Thorn) LaBrake.
He had served with the United States Army at the end of World War II and had reenlisted during the Korean Conflict. He served as Chaplain of American Legion Post #56 of Troy.

He has been a resident of Troy for the past thirty years and was a retired employee of Teleflex Systems in Jaffrey.
He was a member of the Good Sam'™s Club and loved to go camping.

He was a very active member of the First Baptist Church of Troy, and will be missed at the Thursday night prayer services as well as Sunday Church Services.

Survivors include two sons Stephen LaBrake of Troy and Charles LaBrake of Grandby, Colorado; a brother Robert Labrake of Orange, MA; as well as many nieces and nephews.

As per his request, there will be no calling hours.

Private graveside services in Mountain View Cemetery in Troy will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Troy, 17 North Main Street, Post Office Box 609, Troy New Hampshire 03465.

The Cournoyer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 33 River Street, Jaffrey is assisting the family with arrangements.
