Jeffrey S. Meattey, 51, of Fitzwilliam, NH, died unexpectedly on Saturday, September 26, 2009. A lifelong Fitzwilliam resident, he was the son of Diana Meattey of Fitzwilliam, NH and Ernest Meattey of Hinsdale, NH.

During his lifetime, Jeff was a union carpenter who enjoyed motorcross and dirt bike racing. He loved fine dining and music, especially the Blues. Robert Cray was his favorite Blues artist.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his brother Darryl Meattey of Fitzwilliam, NH, and his sister Cherie Volante of Belen, New Mexico. He is also survived by three nephews Dominic Meattey, Daniel Meattey and Caley Volante; two nieces, Caritia (Volante) Krakow and Caryzma Volante, and grandniece Lana Krakow.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Jeffs memory may be made to the Cornerstone Baptist Church, 125 Goodell Ave., Swanzey, NH 03446.

Interment will be inthe Pine Grove Cemetery in Fitzwilliam.

There will be no calling hours.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 2, 2009 at the Fitzwilliam Community Church.
