Bruce A. Niskala, Jr.

October 12, 1970 — December 1, 2009

Dublin, New Hampshire
Bruce A. Niskala, Jr., 39 of Close Road in Dublin, NH died peacefully at home while holding his wifes hand on December 1, 2009 after a courageous battle with Melanoma.

Bruce was born on October 12, 1970 in Peterborough, NH, son of Patricia (Stockdale) Niskala and the late Bruce A. Niskala. He was a 1989 graduate of Conant High School in Jaffrey.

Bruce was a Master Stone Mason. He had learned his trade while working with Michael Given, Ed Desmarais and Deb Shelley while growing up in Jaffrey. He was always respectful of his mentors and felt he had learned from the best. This was very evident when he began his own business and became known as The Stoneman for over 10 years where he specialized in walkways, walls and chimneys.

In his free time, Bruce enjoyed hunting and fishing and would even venture out on the ice with his four-wheeler for some old fashioned ice fishing. Bruce also loved playing Darts and Golf and had belonged to several leagues through the years. He always preferred listening to live music and would travel to concerts to see Bob Segar and The Allman Brothers whenever they toured the northeast.

Bruce will be remembered for having a warm and friendly personality and was one of the funniest people around. Most of all, Bruces family and friends were of the utmost importance in his life, and he held them higher than anything else.

Bruces father, Bruce A. Niskala, Sr. preceded him in death. He died on November 7, 2001.

In addition to his mother, Bruce is survived by his wife Geneva (Wilson) Niskala of Dublin, NH; his son Ian Waino Niskala of Newburyport, MA and Dublin, NH; his step-daughter Kayla Phillips and step-son Brian Phillips, both of Dublin, NH; his sister Ellen M. Niskala-Breckenridge of Cumberland, Rhode Island; his paternal grandmother, Gwendolyn Niskala of Jaffrey, NH; his former wife, friend and mother of his son Ian, Jennifer Taylor of Newburyport, MA and many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are asked to be made to the fund established for Bruces sons education, The Ian Niskala Education Fund, c/o TD Bank, 28 Main Street, #1, Jaffrey, NH 03452.

At Bruces request there will be no calling hours.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 4, 2009, at 10:00 AM at the United Church of Jaffrey, 54 Main Street, Jaffrey, officiated by Rev. Teri Motley, Pastor. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
