Sylvio J. LaCroix, Jr., 56, of Gunn Mountain Road in Ashuelot died Friday April 29, 2011 at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon following a lengthy illness.
He was born April 17, 1955 in Cambridge, MA son of the late Sylvio and Marion (Richardson) LaCroix Sr. His formative years were spent in Somerville MA where he attended local schools.
Mr. LaCroix had formerly worked for Forecaster of Boston for several years.
He has been a resident of Ashuelot for the past seven years and had previously lived in Somerville, MA.
His favorite pastime was wood-working and he enjoyed building birdhouses for friends and family.
He is survived by his companion for the past twenty one years, Deborah Hunter of Ashuelot; his four brothers Paul LaCroix of Manchester, NH, Richard LaCroix, David LaCroix and Michael LaCroix all of Somerville, MA.; his four sisters Paula Wing of Burlington,MA, Rosemary Doucette of Lynn, MA., MaryAnn Jerrier of Manchester, NH and Shirley Gens of Jaffrey; many nieces and nephews as well as many great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his brother Wallace LaCroix.

Private burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett, MA at the convenience of the family.
