Lester K. Rheaume, 67, of Temple, NH, died on Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at home with his wife by his side after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in Nashua, NH on June 4, 1949, the son of Norman and Lucille (Bougie) Rheaume. Lester was raised and educated in Nashua before proudly serving in the U.S. Air Force - a Vietnam Era Veteran earning the rank of Sergeant before his honorable discharge in 1971.

He had worked for 40 years as a Maintenance Manager with Pilgrim Foods in Greenville. He retired in 2016 but remained available as a consultant while his health allowed.

Lester was an active member of the LeClaire-Caron-Pelletier Post #13 American Legion and was past-president and member of the Fitchburg Sportsmans club. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, cooking and fishing, and he loved Hampton Beach.

Lester was preceded in death by his father and by his brother, Kevin Rheaume.

In addition to his mother, Lester is survived by his wife of 26 years, Jennifer (Harling) Rheaume of Temple; his daughter, Tia Rheaume and her companion Brian of Hoopa, CA; his son Kyle Rheaume and his wife Danielle of Cape Cod, MA; his daughter Melanie Rheaume and her husband Jeff of Deering, NH; his daughter Valerie Rheaume of Hudson, NH; his 2 grandsons, A.J and Gavin, of Hudson, NH; his siblings, Karen, Diane, Gary, Paul, Pauline, and Keith, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

At Lester’s request, there will be no calling hours.
Family and friends are invited to a Graveside Service on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 10:00am at Miller Cemetery in Temple where Military Honors will be rendered following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Lester’ name to the American Legion Post 13 Honor Guard, PO Box 121, Greenville, NH 03048.
