Linda D. Sherriff

Linda D. Sherriff, 59, of School Street in Jaffrey died October 25, 2008 at her residence after a sudden illness.

Linda was born in South Ozone Park, in Queens, NY on July 22, 1949. She was the daughter of Jack and Eva (Delgado) Sherriff and had attended schools in Long Island in addition to Keene State College in Keene. Linda moved to New Hampshire in 1978 and has lived in the Monadnock Region ever since.

Linda had been a daycare provider for many years until going to work for Hobbs Jewelers in Peterborough where she worked until she died. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Peterborough. Linda loved kayaking and dancing, and longed to spend time with friends going to movies and just having a good time. She also enjoyed Oil Painting and reading, but most of all, she loved being a Grandmother. Her family was the most important part of her life.

Linda was preceded in death by her mother in 2002 and by her son Jeremy Buck in 2005.

In addition to her father, Linda is survived by her two daughters, Sandra Pratt of Spring Hill, Florida and Sarah Breda of Antrim, NH; her son Justin Breda of Jaffrey; three grandchildren, a granddaughter Skyler Clay of Spring Hill, Florida, and two grandsons, Harley Pratt of Spring Hill, Florida and Jack Breda of Jaffrey, NH; a brother Daniel Sherriff of St. James, Long Island, NY and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Flowers are welcome, or memorial contributions may be made in Lindas name to the Cournoyer Funeral Home Cremation Center, PO Box 486, Jaffrey, NH 03452 to assist the family with funeral expenses.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

At Lindas request there will be no calling hours.

A memorial service and celebration of Lindas life will take place on Saturday, November 8, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the United Methodist Church in Peterborough. Rev. Elizabeth Davis will be the officiant.
