LORRAINE M. CORMIER, 80, of Church Street, Gardner died peacefully on Saturday July 18, 2009 at the Baldwinsville (MA) Nursing Home following a courageous battle with Cancer.

She was born April 18, 1929 in Jaffrey NH, daughter of the late Alphonse and Lerida (Christian) Taylor.
She had attended Jaffrey schools and had lived in Jaffrey until moving to Gardner in 1967.

Mrs. Cormier was a former employee of the New Hampshire Ball Bearings in Peterborough and was retired from Simplex Timer Recorder in Gardner.

She enjoyed playing Bingo, doing puzzles, reading, flowers, baking for family and friends, and feeding her birds and squirrels.

She was a communicant of Holy Spirit Parish in Gardner and was a former communicant of St. Patrick Parish in Jaffrey.

Her first husband and father of her children, Harry Brown died December 17, 1963.
She then married Emile J. Cormier who died April 18, 1998.

Survivors include her two daughters Joyce Boucher of Gardner MA and Cheryl McKee of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; five grandchildren Jennifer Jaillet of Ashburnham MA, Jonathan Boucher of East Montpelier VT, Sara Okerman, Ryan Okerman and Amy Edwards all of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; five great grandchildren; and several cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Montachusett Home Care, 680 Mechanic Street. Leominster MA 01453.

Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery in Peterborough.

As per her request, there will be no calling hours.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:00AM in St. Patrick Church, 89 Main Street, Jaffrey, Rev. Wilfred Deschamps pastor, will officiate.
