Marilyn 'Marney' Bean

April 5, 1944 — February 10, 2022

Marilyn ‘Marney’ Bean, 77, of Dublin, NH, died peacefully on February 10, 2022, surrounded by her husband and daughters.

She was born on April 5, 1944, in Lynn, MA, daughter of the late Roland and Elizabeth (Smalley) Boucher. After graduating from Conant High School in Jaffrey, Marney attended Faulkner Nursing School in Jamaica Plain, MA.

She married her husband, Delcie Bean lll, in 1963. After living in Canada for fourteen years, they made their home in Dublin, NH with their four daughters.

Marney served on the board of MCDCC (MCELC), the Dublin Historical Society and the Peterborough Players, among others. She was an amazing cook and loved to host family gatherings. She was renowned for her gardening skills and her gardens were featured in national publications. She loved yoga, antiquing, traveling, playing bridge, trivia and was an expert skier. She adored her grandkids and was enthusiastically involved in all of their activities and loved attending their athletic events.

Marney is survived by her husband of 58 years, Delcie D. Bean III, her four daughters and their spouses, Lisa and Andrew Caulton, Tracey Bean and Iain Walton, Heather and Stephen Smith, and Jennifer and Peter McLaughlin, ten grandchildren, a sister, Barbara O’Connor and two brothers, Roy and Dean Drew.

At Marney’s request, there will be no calling hours or formal services at this time.
