MARION A. TAYLOR, 79, formerly of River Street, Jaffrey died Sunday March 1, 2009 at Harborside Pheasantwood Health Care in Peterborough, following a period of failing health.

She was born on August 10, 1929 in Concord NH daughter of the late Francis and Lillian (Fillion) McKenna. She was a 1947 graduate of St. Johns High School in Concord.

Mrs. Taylor married Melvin A. Taylor on February 14, 1953 and had been a resident of Jaffrey ever since.

She was a former employee of W.W. Cross Company in Jaffrey, having worked in the office for many years. She retired from Millipore Corp in 1992.

Mrs. Taylor enjoyed sewing, knitting and doing puzzles, but most of all she cherished the time spent with family. She was a communicant of St. Patrick Church in Jaffrey.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years Melvin A. Taylor of Peterborough, NH; three sons, Michael A. Taylor of Rindge, NH, Mark A. Taylor of Jaffrey, NH and Marshall A. Taylor of Fitzwilliam, NH; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; a sister Doris McFarland of San Jose, CA, a brother Ronald McKenna of Penacook, NH, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son Martin A. Taylor on September 24, 2006, and her brothers John and Francis McKenna both died earlier.

Spring burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, Jaffrey.

Mrs. Taylors family warmly invites friends to call at the Cournoyer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 33 River Street, in Jaffrey on Thursday, March 5, 2009from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, March 6, 2009 at 11:00AM in St. Patrick Church, 89 Main Street, Jaffrey. Rev. Wilfred H. Deschamps, Pastor will officiate.
