Marjorie C. “Midge” Gosling, 71, of Rindge died Saturday January 5, 2013 at the Catholic Medical Center in Manchester following a brief illness. She was born November 20, 1941 in Mineola, NY daughter of the late David A. and Jean (Van Vranken) Comstock of Wilton, Connecticut. She was a 1959 graduate of Greens Farms Academy in Westport, CT; and received her bachelor’s degree from Temple University Ambler (PA) Campus in 1962. “Midge” has been a resident of Rindge since 1986. She moved to Rindge from New Canaan, Connecticut with her husband, Joseph A. “Tony” Gosling, DDS. She was an active member of the Rindge Woman’s Club where she served as its president from 1990 to 1992. She was a member of the Rindge Historical Society. She was a generous supporter of the Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough and also the Cathedral of the Pines in Rindge. Her husband “Tony” predeceased her in March 2010. She is survived by her cousin Richard H. Comstock, Jr. of Chappaqua, NY; his children Richard H. Comstock III and Meredith C. Comstock; three step children Patricia Ann Gosling of Zurich, Switzerland, Linda F. Pinkerton of Grapevine, Texas and William C. Gosling of Branford, CT; two step-grandchildren Chase Pinkerton and Taylor Pinkerton both of Texas.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cathedral of the Pines, Hale Hill Road, Rindge NH 03461, or to the Monadnock Community Hospital, Philanthropy Office, 452 Old Street Road. Peterborough NH 03458.

There will be no calling hours.

Memorial Services for Midge will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Cathedral of the Pines, 10 Hale Hill Road, Rindge, NH 03461
