Martha W. Caron

Martha W. Caron, 75, of Nutting Road in Jaffrey died Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at Harborside Healthcare Pheasantwood in Peterborough after a period of failing health.
She was born in Carollton, Georgia on June 13, 1933, daughter of the late Lester and Ida (Dickson) Nehring and was a 1951 graduate of Ringgold (GA) High School. Mrs. Caron lived in Ringgold, GA for 18 years before moving to Houston, TX where she met and married her husband. They would live in Houston for 7 years before moving to Jaffrey in 1958.
Mrs. Caron was a loving mom who spent several years caring for her children. She did work as a cafeteria aide for several years in the Jaffrey-Rindge School District while her children attended school there. She was a communicant of Saint Patrick Church in Jaffrey.

Mrs. Caron enjoyed reading, cooking, and loved to dance. Most recently, she found great pleasure in doting on her grandchildren.

Mrs. Caron is survived by her husband of 51 years, Ernest G. Caron of Jaffrey; her daughter Marieca C. Metzger of Plano, TX and her son Anthony Caron of Jaffrey; 2 granddaughters, Samantha and Danielle Metzger, both of Plano, TX; a brother David Nehring of Pensacola, FL and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Carons name to American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312

Burial will follow in Saint Patrick Cemetery in Jaffrey.

Friends and family are warmly invited to calling hours on Saturday, October 4, 2008 from 10:00 to 12:00 PM at the Cournoyer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 33 River Street, (Route 202 South) Jaffrey.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated immediately following Calling Hours on Saturday, October 4, 2008 at 12:00 Noon in St. Patrick Church, 89 Main Street, Jaffrey. Rev. Wilfred H. Deschamps, Pastor, will officiate.
