Meline Schuetz

August 14, 1935 — January 15, 2011

Meline Schuetz, 75, of Abel Road in Rindge died suddenly at her residence on Saturday January 15, 2011.
She was born August 14, 1935 in Munich, Germany daughter of the late Ludwig and Meline (Schirmer) Lohner. She had received her primary education in Germany.

Mrs. Schuetz has been a resident of Rindge since 2008; previously she had lived in Baldwin GA for twenty years. Prior to that she had lived in Smithtown, Long Island, New York. While in New York she cared for and raised many foster babies and children.

For many years she has been a very active supporter of The Arc of the United States, which is an organization for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Mrs. Schuetz loved to read and earlier in her life she enjoyed knitting. She liked to go out to eat with family and friends. Recently she found joy and friendship at the adult day care center in Jaffrey.

Survivors include her daughter with whom she lived Gisela Johnson and her husband Steven of Rindge; her son Kurt Schuetz and his wife Patricia of Grafton, MA; her brother Ludwig Lohner and his wife Heidi, her sister Rosi Truby and her husband Ed all of Germany; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Konrad Schuetz and her son Christopher Schuetz.

At her request, there will be no calling hours or formal funeral service at this time.

Private committal services will be held at the convenience of the family in the family lot at Hillside Cemetery, Goddard Road, Rindge, NH.
