MichaelJ. Neyens, 68, of Crestview Drive in Jaffrey, died unexpectedly Monday, October 4, 2010, at his residence.
He was born May 6, 1942 in Dubuque, Iowa, son of the late Fredrick and Eleanor (Burke) Neyens.

Mike was a graduate of Wahlert High School in Dubuque and earned his Bachelors degree from Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

A resident of Jaffrey since 1976, Mike was a longtime employee and former plant manager of Millipore Corporation in Jaffrey, and also had worked for Millipores Waters Division in Paris, France. He also worked for Chesterton and Hemasure both of Massachusetts. More recently he was employed as a consultant for various corporations through out the New England area.

Mike was a communicant, a Eucharistic Minister, and a member of the Pastoral Council of St. Patricks Roman Catholic Church and was very active in St. Patricks community.

He was one of the fifteen original catholic Lay people who founded the New Hampshire Catholics for Moral Leadership.

In his leisure time, Mike enjoyed fishing, but most of all, he cherished the time he spent with his beloved children and family.

He is survived by his wife of twenty-seven years, Mary (Marvil) Neyens of Jaffrey; two sons, Patrick F. Neyens of Jaffrey and Brendan M. Neyens, stationed in Coronado CA, with the United States Navy; a daughter Kathleen M. Neyens of San Diego, CA; a sister Mary Ann Haddock of Gilbert AZ; two brothers Patrick J. Neyens of Seattle, WA and Thomas J. Neyens of Lexington KY; several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either the Jaffrey Recreation Department, 31 Howard Hill Road, Jaffrey; or Shelter From the Storm, Post Office Box 257, Jaffrey, NH 03452

Burial will immediately follow the Mass at St. Patrick Cemetery in Jaffrey.

Family and friends are warmly invited to call at the Cournoyer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 33 River Street (Route 202S) in Jaffrey on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11:00AM in St. Patrick Church, 89 Main Street Jaffrey. The Rev. Wilfred H. Deschamps, pastor, will officiate.
