Patricia A. LaFave

Patricia A. LaFave, 72, of Orange City, Florida and formerly of Fitzwilliam, NH died Sunday, September 14, 2014 at the Porter Medical Center in Middlebury, VT after a period of failing health.

Pat was born on April 3, 1942 in Plattsburg, New York, daughter of the late Emmett and Margaret (McDonald) Garrand. She attended schools in New York and had lived there for more than 20 years before moving to Fitzwilliam and Jaffrey. She had also enjoyed the warmer climates while living in Deland and Orange City, Florida.

Mrs. LaFave had worked in many different capacities at Millipore Corp. in Jaffrey before eventually retiring from there.

Pat enjoyed playing Bingo and cards, and had a lot of fun trying her luck at casino gambling occasionally. She also enjoyed gardening and cooking.

In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her husband Robert, her brother Marshall and her sister Gert.

She is survived by her son, Scott LaFave of Orange City, FL; two granddaughters April L. Desmarais and Lisa Pawlowicz, both of Jaffrey; her sister Theresa Woodley and her husband Ronald of Lake Helen, FL; her 2 brothers, Leonard McDonald and his wife Barbara of Marlborough, NH, and Wayne Mansfield of Peterborough, NH and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Family and friends are warmly invited to a Graveside Service which will be held at the family lot in St. Patrick Cemetery on Hillcrest Road in Jaffrey on Friday at 2:00 PM. Rev. Wilfred H. Deschamps, Pastor of St. Patrick Church will officiate.
