Patricia A. Sweeney, 66, formerly of Jaffrey, died on Tuesday May 13, 2008 Glenwood Nursing Home in Lowell, Massachusetts after a period of declining health
 
Mrs. Sweeney was born on August 5, 1941 in Keene, New Hampshire, daughter of the late Raymond and Irene Croteau.  She attended local schools and had lived in Jaffrey until 1987 when she and her husband, Norman Sweeney, retired to Summerville, South Carolina.  After Mr. Sweeney died on May 8, 1997, Mrs. Sweeney moved back to Fitzwilliam and Jaffrey to be closer to her children and back to where she considered her home.
 
While she lived in Jaffrey, Mrs. Sweeney worked at Elite Laundry in Jaffrey until her retirement in 1987.  She had also worked at Dyno Manufacturing in Jaffrey for several years.  She was a long time communicant of St. Patrick's Church. Mrs. Sweeney was devoted to her family and enjoyed her time at home.  She also loved playing Bingo and was a huge fan of Professional Wrestling.
 
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Sweeney was also predeceased by her sister Theresa.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Rourke of Keene, NH, her son William Sweeney of Fitzwilliam, NH, her two grandchildren, Jeff and Paige Rourke; her 5 brothers, Bernard, Philip Chester and Gordon Croteau, all of Keene, NH, and James Croteau of Florida. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

At Mrs. Sweeneys request, there will be no calling hours.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick Church, 89 Main Street in Jaffrey on Friday May 23, 2008 at 11:00 AM.  Rev. Wilfred Deschamps, Pastor, will be the celebrant.
