Ramon "Ray" Rodriguez

Ramon “Ray” Rodriguez, 74, of Rindge, NH, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, after a brief illness on November 29, 2021.
He was born in Manhattan, NY, on June 6, 1947, son of the late Demetrio and Rosalia Rodriguez. After high school he enlisted into the Army in Pico Rivera, CA on October 6, 1964. He served in the Korean Conflict, Then a few years later he joined the Army National Guard in Puerto Rico for 2 years before moving to Massachusetts.
After Ramon’s service to the United States, he worked for Digital Equipment Corporation from 1976-1991. He held many positions including; Senior Computer Technician, Technical Buyer, Manufacturing Production Supervisor, Technical Recruiter and Human Resource Consultant/Generalist. He began working for N.F.I., Inc. in Concord, NH in 1991 as a Family Counselor.
Ramon graduated from Cambridge College with a Masters of Education in 1993. After graduation, he started work with Nashua Youth Center in Nashua, NH as a family counselor. In 1997, moving to a Recruiter/Executive Search position at DMA, Inc. located in Nashua, NH for the next three years. He continued working as a Recruiter/ Executive Search with BellQuest Associates in Amherst, NH from 2000-2002. In 2002, Ramon started his own family farm, Misty Mountain Farm in Rindge, NH, where he worked as a Herdsman and Goat Rancher until 2006. Ramon worked for Oldenburg Group in Claremont, NH, as a Mining Products Trainer before retiring in 2008.
On December 23, 2000, Ramon married the love of his life, Penelope Ann Fisher, in Londonderry, NH
Ray was a member of Hope Fellowship Church in Jaffrey, NH and was very involved on their prayer team. He was also a member of the Rindge Veteran’s Association. Before Arthritis came in his hands, he was an amazing hand drummer, which was his passion and played for many years on different Worship teams.
He loved blacksmithing and building things for his wife and their garden. For ten years, Ray raised South African Boer Goats, pigs, and cows. He could be found outdoors enjoying nature hiking, kayaking, cross country skiing, and snowshoeing.
His love for his three dogs; Charlotte, Spud, and Buddy, ran deep as they spent the last ten years building their bond working the farm together. He took a great liking to his very special cat, Aurther.
Ray was a man full of love for his family, and others. He loved his country and was a true Patriot. He lived his life to the fullest with a quick smile and a hearty laugh. He loved all his farm animals and treated them with dignity and respect.
In addition to his parents, Ray is predeceased his brothers; Albert Delgado, Antonio (Tony) Delgado, and Monserrate (Monty) Delgado, sister; Esther Cortez, and his brother-in-law, Peter Fisher.
He is survived by his wife, Penelope “Penny” A. Rodriguez of Rindge, NH, his sons; Raymond Bernard of Canada, Jay and Janella Rodriguez of Canada, his stepchildren, Andrea, and Dave Dube, his siblings; Iraida and Eugenio Gentilina of Puerto Rico, Harry and Nanette Rodriguez of Puerto Rico, His sister in law Mildred "Millie" Delgado and nephew Ruben, His brother in laws Paul Fisher III and his wife, Denise, Christopher and Maria Fisher, step grandchildren; Ian P. Dube, Colton Harrison, and Elizabeth Dube, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at Hope Fellowship Church, 16 Prescott Rd. Jaffrey, NH. The service will begin at 1:00 PM and is open for all to attend.
