Regina C McAneney

Regina Celina McAneney, 98, of Jaffrey, died Sunday evening, July 2, 2017 in the comfort of her own home, following a period of declining health.

She was born in Dracut, MA on September 2, 1918 to Jean Baptiste and Celina (Toussaint) Guillemette. She grew up in the Lowell, MA area and attended area schools. After finishing high school, she moved to NH where she lived briefly in Lyndeborough, NH then later in Peterborough for over 50 years and most recently, the last 16 plus years after her retirement, she resided in Jaffrey with her daughter.

She worked for NH Ball Bearing for many years before she worked at the Scott-Farrar Home for over 20 years.

Ms. McAneney was a hardworking and dedicated mother, her family was very important to her and she did all she could to make sure they had what they needed. In what little down time she was able to find, she enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and doing crafts, as well as knitting and embroidery.

She is survived by her daughters: Carol McAneney and her significant other, John Rowlands of Jaffrey, Laurie McAneney of Jaffrey, Doreen Hall of Dunnellon, FL and Shirley O’Connor and her husband Gary of St. Petersburgh, FL; her daughter in law: Louann Lacourse of Boscawen and close friends: Elaine and Ray Wakefield of Portage, ME.; eleven grandchildren; several great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her four sons: Ret. MAJ Richard, Billy, Brian, and Dennis, as well as her brother: George Guillemette and her sister: Celina Morneau.

There are no public calling hours. A celebration of life for Ms. McAneney will be held, privately, by the family at a later date.
