Robert W. 'Bob' Nunes, Jr.

Robert W. ‘Bob’ Nunes, Jr., 56, of Rindge New Hampshire and formerly of Taunton, MA died peacefully on November 25, 2013 while surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. Bob was born in Taunton, MA on December 25, 1956, son of Robert W. Nunes, Sr., and Eleanor I. (Duhamel) Meehan. He was raised in Raynham, MA and had attended Bridgewater - Raynham High School. Bob was a call fireman and an EMT for the Town of Raynham Fire Department for a number of years. He had owned and operated the Friendly Farms in Raynham for over 25 years and had later worked for Road Safety in traffic control throughout the Boston area. He and his wife moved to Rindge, NH in 2009 where Bob was able to enjoy time with his family. He was an avid fisherman, hooking all kinds of fresh and saltwater fish. Bob also enjoyed cruises and loved to travel; being his own GPS he could guide anyone anywhere. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Maria (Silva) Nunes, his daughters: Ashley Nunes of Tiverton, RI, and Jessica Nunes of Berkley MA; his sons: Robert Nunes of Berkley, MA, and David Nunes, of Taunton MA; his stepchildren, Mark and Sandra Amorim of Jaffrey, NH and Richard and Danielle Amorim of Providence, RI; his new grandson Llelhnd Nunes, and step grandchildren Patrick and Joshua Amorim; his brothers: William Nunes with wife Misa of Marston Mills, MA and Brian Nunes of Fairhaven, MA; his sisters: Sharon and husband Mark Schuttauf of Raynham, MA and Susan Correia of Taunton, MA and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. He was preceded in death by his brother David Nunes in 1995. Family and friends are warmly invited to calling hours which will take place on Sunday, December 1, 2013, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Cournoyer Funeral Home, 33 River Street, (Rte. 202) Jaffrey, NH 03452. A celebration of Bob’s life will be held in the chapel at Cournoyer Funeral Home on Monday, December 2, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery in Jaffrey.
