Robert W. Swords

Robert W. Swords, 51, of Jaffrey died unexpectedly at his residence on Thursday July 23, 2015.

He was born June 5, 1964 in Springfield, MA, son of Robert and Patricia (Sealander) Swords. His formative years were spent in Springfield where he had attended local schools.

Robert has been a resident of the greater Monadnock area since 1982 and has lived in Jaffrey for the past twenty three years.
Up until the time of his death he has been employed at New Hampshire Ball Bearing in Peterborough for the past thirty years.

Robert was an avid golfer and fisherman. He was a huge fan of the Duke University basketball team and he loved listening to music, especially songs by Pink Floyd, Van Halen and the Rolling Stones. But most cherished to him was the time spent with family and friends.

In addition to his mother of Springfield MA, he is survived by his daughter Jessica L. Gregory and her husband Alex of Jaffrey; his son Timothy W. Swords and his fiancé Sherri Beers also of Jaffrey; six grandchildren, Landon, Robert, Madison, Colton, William and Dale; four sisters Linda Peltier and husband Raymond of Chicopee, MA, Janet Tabb and husband Mark of Granby, MA, Donna Dunn and husband Timothy of Springfield, MA and Karen Bushey and husband Mark of Hampden, MA; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was predeceased by his father Robert B. Swords on January 9, 2014.

Family and friends are warmly invited to attend a Celebration of Robert’s life, to be held on Wednesday July 29, 2015 at the Cournoyer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 33 River Street, in Jaffrey from 11:00AM to 1:00PM.
