Robert W. Wiesenauer

April 1, 1958 — December 4, 2018

Robert W. (Bob) Wiesenauer, 60, a resident of Jaffrey, NH passed away unexpectedly at his home on the evening of December 4, 2018.

Bob was born on April 1, 1958 on the Air Force Base in Harlingen, Texas a son of Robert F. and MaryAnn (Petty) Wiesenauer. Due to his father being in the Air Force, Bob grew up in various states, with Michigan being his favorite. While there, he joined the Boy Scouts and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He later moved to Nebraska, where he attended high school and college, graduating from the University of Nebraska in 1980 with a bachelor’s degree in Life Science. After graduation, he moved to Jaffrey, New Hampshire where his parents lived. Shortly after, he became a lifeguard at Acadia National Park in Maine, one of his favorite places. In New Hampshire, he worked in environmental education at Nature’s Classroom as a teacher and later as a director. Through Nature’s Classroom, Bob met his wife, Susan (Dedrickson), daughter of Leonard and Marie Dedrickson. He then went on to get his Master’s in Education at Antioch New England Graduate School in Keene, NH. He taught faithfully for 30 years at Jaffrey-Rindge Middle School. Bob and Susan also served as house parents at Hampshire Country School in Rindge, NH for four years before buying their home in Jaffrey.

Bob enjoyed the outdoors greatly; hiking, canoeing, and snowshoeing with his family being among his favorite past times as well as spending solitude time in nature. Bob was an avid learner and greatly enjoyed studying, reading and learning about a variety of subjects. He was working on achieving a second master’s degree in Ministry through his church, Bethany Bible Chapel, where he was also very passionate about serving Jesus Christ. Bob served as a deacon at the church, taught men’s Bible study, adult Sunday School classes and enjoyed preaching and teaching the Word of God.

Bob is survived by his wife, Susan (Dedrickson) of 34 years and three children, Bridgette, her husband, Zachariah Huebener, their children Violet and Asher, Claire, Robert L. (also known as Rolen), his wife, Sarah, and their daughter due in January. He also leaves behind his parents, Robert F. and MaryAnn Wiesenauer, sister Lisa and her husband Mark Ethier, many in-laws, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother, Richard.

All who knew Bob knew that he was looking forward to spending eternity with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We have assurance in knowing that he is at peace and in the presence of Christ.
