Greenville, New Hampshire

Ronald C. Cox, Sr., 76, of Greenville died peacefully on Monday May 5, 2014 at his home after a period of failing health.

He was born on June 25, 1937 in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania, son of the late Charles and Viola Cox.
He was raised in and had attended schools in Pennsylvania.

Mr. Cox enlisted early in the United States Air Force with his parent’s permission, and proudly served his country for over 20 years and retired as a Technical Sergeant in 1975. After retiring, Mr. Cox drove 18 wheelers and worked in steel fabrication until his health diminished.

Mr. Cox was a member of the LeClair-Caron-Pelletier American Legion Post #13 of Greenville. He loved fishing, camping and hunting, and enjoyed watching NASCAR and the Red Sox play. Mr. Cox was a big Duck Dynasty fan but loved his sweets and cookies the most.

He was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Beverly Jean Parker, and by his son Ronald C. Cox, Jr.

He is survived by his daughter with whom he had been living with, Dianna Cox of Greenville, NH; his daughter Patti Cox of Greenville, his daughter Billie Jo Cox of Maine, his daughter Vickie Porter of Augusta, GA, his son Timothy Cox of Greenville, 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Friends and family are warmly invited to celebrate Mr. Cox’s life on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 from 4:00 to 6:00PM at the Cournoyer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 33 River Street (Route 202 South), Jaffrey. A funeral service will begin at 5:30 in the funeral home chapel.

Burial with full Military Honors will take place on Thursday May 15, 2014 at 1:00PM at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH.
