Ronald E. St. Cyr

Ronald E. St. Cyr, 64, of Rindge died Sunday, June 17, 2007 at his residence after a long illness.

Ronald was born on March 2, 1943 in Lincoln, NH, the son of the late Romeo and Laura (Bourassa) St. Cyr. As a child, he moved to Manchester and graduated from West High School. Upon graduating, he joined the US Army and had also served in the New Hampshire National Guard.

Ronald had resided in Northwood, NH where he was the founder of Saddleback Masonry. Later he moved to Rindge where he returned to his craft of masonry.

He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and creating new adventures while climbing the mountains in the area. He enjoyed coin collecting and entertaining family and friends with his wife Rose.

He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Rose (Whalen) Smiga-St. Cyr of Rindge, NH: his 2 sons; Michael St. Cyr of Ft. Drum, NY and Joseph Smiga of Boise, Idaho, his daughter Sharon Torres of Rosemond, CA, 6 grandchildren; 3 sisters, Jacqueline Sherwood of Winchester, NH, Arlene Bourque of West Wareham, MA and Nancy St. Cyr of Carlsbad, CA; his 3 brothers, Richard St. Cyr of New Boston, NH, David St. Cyr of Goffstown, NH and Kenneth St. Cyr of Manhattan,. Montana; many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

There will be no calling hours.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2007 at 11:00AM in the Advent Lutheran Church, 554 Route 202 in Rindge, NH. Pastor Richard Olson will officiate. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
