Ronald Louis Taylor

RONALD L. TAYLOR, 74, of Delta Drive, Jaffrey died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Saturday December 20, 2008 following a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born on January 24, 1934 in Jaffrey, son of the late Louis and Helen (Coderre) Taylor.
He was a 1954 graduate of Conant High School in Jaffrey and had attended Huntington Business College in Huntington VA.

He served with the United States Navy from 1955 to 1959 on LLST #983; he held a duel enrollment with the American Legion in Jaffrey. He was a Son of the American Legion as well as a member of John Humiston Post #11 of the American Legion. He also was a member of the Mens Auxiliary of Jaffrey Memorial Post #5613 VFW.

Ron loved to cook and from 1987 until 1991 he and his wife owned and operated Ron Sandys Caf in Jaffrey.
Previously he was the building and grounds supervisor for the ConVal School District until his retirement in 1987. And following his retirement he continued to follow and kept up to date with all the ConVal school activities and sports. Earlier in his life he had also worked in the maintenance department at Conant High School in Jaffrey.

He loved all types of hunting, even bow and arrow.
But he especially enjoyed time spent with family.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Sandra (Forcier) Taylor of Jaffrey; two daughters Kathy Lynn Perra of Jaffrey, Susan Mae Hunter of McCammon, Idaho; two sons Bryan Keith Taylor and Louis Paul Taylor both of McCammon Idaho; a step-daughter Darlene Susie Black of Jaffrey; a step-son Donald Punky Cloutier, Jr of Jaffrey; eight grandchildren; his brother Edward J. Taylor of Stewart Florida; two aunts and an uncle; and also his first wife and mother of his children, Gloria Jean Taylor of McCammon, Idaho.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jaffrey Memorial Post #5613 VFW, Post Office Box 483, Jaffrey NH 03452.

As per his request, there will be no calling hours or formal funeral services at this time.
Private committal services will be held at the convenience of the family.
