Shirley Mae Wiggin

Shirley Mae Wiggin, 69, of West Main Street, Rindge died unexpectedly at her residence on Saturday May 28, 2011.

She was born July 27, 1941 in Portsmouth NH, daughter of the late Albert and Dorothy (Mayhew) Wiggin.

For many years Shirley was employed at the National Grange Insurance Co. in Keene and she was retired from the New Hampshire Ball Bearing Co. in Peterborough.

The highlight of her life was her years spent serving with the United States Air Force. It was here that she developed many lifetime friends, whom she spoke of fondly and often. Her other love was traveling across the USA, which she did several times and each time she would drive her own car.

Survivors include her sister Beverly Allen of Springer NM; her nephew Craig Allen and his wife Wendy of Lakewood Colorado and their children Steven and Nicholas; her niece Cindy Valentine and her husband Bud of Springer NM and their children Jennifer, Jamie and Julie; also seven great great nieces.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her long time family friend Julie A. Knight in 2009.

Burial with full Military Honors will take place at the convenience of the family in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon, MA.

At her request, there will be no formal services or callinghours at this time.
