Stephen L. Gierloff

Stephen L. Gierloff, 54, of Swanzey, NH died unexpectedly on Friday, May 9, 2014 at the Cheshire Medical Center in Keene. He was born in Poughkeepsie, NY on June 29, 1959 and attended Arlington High School.

At the time of his death he was employed at First Fleet Trucking Company of Brattleboro, VT.

Stephen enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle and most importantly, spending time with his family.

Survivors include his mother, Macene Gierloff of Hyde Park, NY; two sisters, Lorrie Gierloff of Poughkeepsie, NY and Kathy Porter and her husband Bill also of Poughkeepsie, NY; two brothers, Brent Gierloff of Manville, NY, and Gary Palmeri of Arkansas; three daughters, Tonya Gierloff and her husband Alan of Swanzey, Tammy Dorobisz and her husband, Peter of Holyoke, MA, and Tina Johnson and her husband, Joshua of Erving, MA; four grand-children, Logan, Cameron, Alana and Sofia; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is pre-deceased by his father Christian Gierloff.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 17 at 1 p.m. at the home of Russell and Karen Bowen.

There are no calling hours and burial will be private.
