Rindge, New Hampshire Stephen M. Kottke, 21, of Old New Ipswich Road in Rindge, died November 5, 2012 in Greer, SC as a result of injuries sustained in an auto accident. He was born February 7, 1991 in Keene NH son of Stephen L. and Paige (Burns) Kottke. He was a 2009 graduate of Conant High School in Jaffrey and also attended Franklin Pierce University in Rindge. He was a lifelong resident of Rindge until moving to Greer this past August with his best friend Tyler Derousi in order to pursue a new career. Stephen had enjoyed working with his friends Cody and Cooper Gordon at Gordon Service for a period of time and had worked for United Water in Jaffrey. Presently he was working with Tyler Derousi and Andy Jones employed with Gray Gold Concrete in Greer. Stephen loved baseball and had played for three years on the Conant High School varsity team. He enjoyed outdoor activities like snowmobiling and hunting. He was known for his quick wit and huge sense of humor. He was frequently known to break out in a song. Stephen most enjoyed the time he spent with family and friends. He is survived by his parents of Rindge; his two brothers James B. Kottke and Timothy A. Kottke both of Rindge; his maternal grandparents Helen and Richard Burns of Rindge; his paternal grandmother Molly Kottke of St. Petersburg FL; and his grandmother Cheryl Kottke of Fitzwilliam; his three uncles Richard Burns, Jr and his wife Roberta of Boston, MA, Kenneth Kottke of St. Petersburg FL and Andrew Kottke of the Bahamas’; his two aunts Stephanie Burns-Leary and her husband Pat of Hancock and God-Mother Dr. Mary Christina Devine of Richmond; many loving cousins and many close friends. Stephen was God Father to Mia Simona Burns of Boston. He was predeceased by his grandfather Dr. Thomas F. Kottke and his uncle Thomas F. Kottke, Jr. both of Fitzwilliam.

Family and friends will honor and celebrate Stephen’s life by gathering for calling hours at the Cournoyer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 33 River Street, (Rte. 202) Jaffrey on Thursday November 8, 2012 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM.

Private funeral services and burial in Hillside Cemetery on Goddard Road in Rindge will be at the convenience of the family.
