Yvonne C. Donnelly

Jaffrey, New Hampshire Yvonne C. Donnelly, 72, of Jaffrey, died peacefully on Thursday, November 22, 2012, at her home while surrounded by her family. She was born on April 3, 1940 in Springfield, MA, the daughter of the late John, J. and Eva (Morin) Donnelly. She had attended the former Peterborough High School and had lived in Peterborough, Bennington, and in Jaffrey for the past 30 years. Yvonne had worked at Honeywell and New Hampshire Ball Bearing in Peterborough, but found that she enjoyed helping people and taking care of them more than anything else. She waitressed and tended bar at the Riverdale Inn in Peterborough and at the V.F.W. and American Legion in Jaffrey for many years. She also enjoyed working at the former Silver Ranch restaurant in Jaffrey. Yvonne was a communicant of St. Patrick Church in Jaffrey, and had formerly been a communicant at St. Peter Church in Peterborough and St. Patrick Church in Bennington. She was an avid fan of the Red Sox and enjoyed many annual journeys to Fenway Park. She also enjoyed reading and playing cards which led to many fun-filled trips to Foxwoods with family and friends. Yvonne’s granddaughter, Shae, gave her the strength and will to keep fighting for as long as she did, along with the love and compassion from all of Yvonne’s family members. Yvonne was preceded in death by her daughter Nicole Gabriele, who died at birth. She is survived by her daughter, Kelly Coll of Jaffrey, NH; her son Matthew Donnelly of Peterborough, NH; one granddaughter, Shaelynn Coll of Jaffrey, NH; her 2 sisters, Patricia and Janet Donnelly, both of Jaffrey; two aunts, Rose-Anna McDermott and Lena Boudrieau, both of Peterborough, NH and many cousins and close friends.

At her request, there will be no calling hours.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 30, 2012 at 2:00PM in St. Patrick Church, 89 Main Street, Jaffrey. Rev. Wilfred H. Deschamps, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in St. Patrick Cemetery, Jaffrey.
