Alex E. McKaughan, 34, of Jaffrey, NH, passed away unexpectedly on May 25, 2023.
He was born on June 10, 1988, in Cambridge, MA, to Daniel McKaughan and Kathleen Johnson. Alex grew up in Arlington, MA and graduated from Arlington High School.
After high school, Alex moved to New Hampshire, where he discovered his love of the outdoors. No matter the season, he could be found in nature - snowboarding, hiking, camping, kayaking or ice climbing.
As a boy, Alex always loved cooking and eventually found a home in the restaurant industry, working his way to become head chef in multiple NH restaurants. His work ethic, enthusiasm and positivity made him a valuable team member wherever he worked. Alex could always be counted on to provide a helping hand, a warm smile or a friendly hug. His light will be dearly missed.
In addition to his parents, he leaves behind his beloved wife, Krista McKaughan, siblings Joseph Capasso, Tarynn Capasso, Jason Johnson, Brianna McKaughan, grandparents Susan and Stephen McKaughan, many beloved nieces and nephews, his loving cats and cherished family and friends.
Calling hours will be held on June 1, 2023, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Cournoyer Funeral Home, 33 River Street Jaffrey NH 03452.
