Alice R. Cole

February 19, 1947 — February 20, 2022

Alice R. Cole, 75, of Rindge, NH died peacefully on February 20, 2022, at Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough, NH after a long illness.

She was born in Somerville, MA on February 19, 1947, daughter of the late Joseph and Mildred Berutis. Alice graduated with the Class of 1965 from Medford (MA) High School and began working for Verizon. It was through her work that she was able to meet the love of her life. She married Earl W. Cole Jr. on May 23, 1970 and together they found great joy in traveling to Greece, Italy, France, and Nantucket, as well as gardening and especially with their horses. She had been a longtime volunteer with the Ingalls Memorial Library in Rindge, and was a member of the Rindge Women's Club and the 'Save Our Town' organization.

Alice will always be remembered as a great lover of life; she knew she wouldn't live forever so she enjoyed every moment life had to offer her. She loved meeting other people and bringing light and joy into their lives. Alice was a lover of all animals, an avid reader, and loved Elvis Presley.

In addition to her parents, Alice was also predeceased by her two sisters, Joan Berutis and Janice Cooper.

Alice is survived by her husband of 52 years, Earl W. Cole, Jr., her niece, Rutha Haskin of Oregon, and her nephew, John Cooper of Burlington, MA, as well as by her sister-in-law, Diane Cole and her nephew Glen Cole and his wife Deirdre, and their two children, Liv and Brooke, and many close friends.
