Andre “Andy” Arthur Henault, age 84, of Jaffrey, NH, passed away on September 15, 2026 as a result of complications following a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born on July 28, 1942, in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, son to the late Emile and Lucia (Blondin) Henault.

He attended schools in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, and obtained his GED. Andre moved to the Monadnock Region in the 1970’s and then settled in Jaffrey in 1987. He worked as a machinist for New Hampshire Ball Bearing, where he met his beloved wife, Barbara. He was a dedicated and hard worker at NHBB for 30 years before his retirement in 2004.

Andre enjoyed traveling with his wife Barbara. They took many trips throughout their years together, with some of their favorites being Maine, Cape Cod, Lake George, the White Mountains of NH, and Tennessee. They often sought out and visited local pubs and micro-breweries and enjoyed sampling a new favorite ale, as IPAs were Andre’s favorite.

Andre was a dedicated grandfather and truly loved their grandchildren. He and Barbara brought them along on many of their trips. Living in the Monadnock Region, Andre enjoyed hiking Mount Monadnock, or as his family lovingly called it “Andy’s Mountain.” Bringing his grandchildren on the many hikes to “Andy’s Mountain” was one of his most revered outings.

Andre practiced and enjoyed guitar for many years. He also weightlifted and worked out faithfully five days a week, right up until he no longer could. He loved to prepare and cook special recipes, of which his family appreciated. He also prepared and baked the most amazing pies, using fruits from his own trees such as apples, plums, pears and peaches.

Andre had the utmost compassion for the many cats that he had throughout his life, as well as the wild birds that he enjoyed feeding and watching.

He is predeceased by a daughter Christine, a brother Norman, and a sister Suzi.

Andre is survived by his beloved with of 35 years, Babara (Ginn) Henault. He leaves behind his children, Michael Henault of Tennessee, Brenda Henault of Rhode Island, and Mark Cabral of Attleboro, MA. He also leaves his stepchildren, Donald Bushee and Alan Bushee of Winchendon, Ma, Todd Bushee of Petersham, MA, Ty Bushee of Barree, MA, and Shawn Litchfield of Athol, MA, nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Cournoyer Funeral Home, 33 River Street, Jaffrey, NH, 03452.
