Starts at 11:00 am (Eastern time)
Anne F. Doucet (Foley), wife, stepmother, and step-grandmother, of Jaffrey, NH, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2026. Anne was 94 years old. Anne is predeceased by her husband, Norman D. Doucet of Rindge, NH and her only brother Robert Foley of Philadelphia, PA.
Anne was born on December 28, 1931, in Winter Park Florida, and was the daughter of Sherwood & Eleanor (Tappan) Foley. Like her (deceased) brother Robert, she grew up in a house next door to the Seminole Hotel on Lake Osceola in Winter Park, which was owned by their parents. Anne graduated in 1953 with an AB in Chemistry from Bryn Mawr College in Philadelphia.
Anne was married to Norman D. Doucet of Rindge, NH on October 2, 1976. In doing so, she welcomed not only a husband into her life but also the daughter and son Norman had from a previous marriage.
Anne retained the passion for crossword and jigsaw puzzles that she and Norman shared. Building custom puzzle transport tables and finding creative ways to make room for puzzles throughout her time at the long-term care center became the norm, right up until her passing.
Anne continued to donate generously to Monadnock Hospital and Cathedral of The Pines (and many others), as part of the Norman D. and Anne F. Doucet Charitable Trust. Anne was known for her cerebral approach to almost all of what life and society brought to bear.
Mourning Anne’s loss are her stepchildren and their families: Sherryl (Doucet) Hitte and her husband Russell Hitte Jr. of Tamworth, NH, Wayne Doucet and his wife Melanie Doucet of Cumming, GA. Anne was the step-grandmother to Anthony DeAngelis, Kelsey Hitte, Ryan Hitte, Brittany Doucet, and Connor Doucet. Anne was also the step-great-grandmother to Elijah DeAngelis, Kamryn DeAngelis, Logan Hitte, Anthony Doucet and Wyatt Doucet. Anne also leaves many cousins and friends, including her late cousin Dudley Palmer and long-time friends Candy Starrett and Laurel & Jim Cameron.
Her graveside service will take place at 11:00 AM, on Friday, October 2, 2026, at Cathedral of The Pines, 10 Hale Hill Rd., Rindge, NH. Anne will be laid to rest next to Norman, as she rejoins him on what would have been their 50th wedding anniversary.
