Annette M. Gagne

March 24, 1958 — April 14, 2022

Annette M. Gagne, 64, of Rindge, NH died peacefully at her home on Thursday, April 14, 2022 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Annette was born in Lowell, MA on March 24, 1958, the daughter of Joseph and Lucie (Lessard) Leduc. Annette was a 1976 graduate of Lowell High School, and it was there that she met her high school sweetheart, Ray Gagne. They married in 1978 and began their journey of raising a family. They lived in Dracut briefly before moving to Rindge in 1985.

Once her children were in school, she began her career as a secretary at Rindge Memorial. It was there that she impacted generations of families with her contagious smile and innate ability to make anybody feel at ease. After almost 30 years, she retired to care for her parents.

Annette’s greatest joy was being surrounded by her family. Whether she was hosting sleepovers with the grandkids (complete with Mac and cheese and chicken nuggets) or sitting poolside with her kids and a glass of wine, she was happiest when she was with “her people”.

Despite the challenges life threw her way, you could always count on her positive attitude and sometimes inappropriate sense of humor to lighten things up. Annette’s infectious laugh could turn anyones day around. She leaves behind a legacy of caring and kindness that will be felt for generations to come.

Annette was predeceased by her father, Joseph Leduc on February 10, 2019.

She is survived by her mother Lucie Leduc, of Rindge; her beloved husband of over 43 years, Ray Gagne, of Rindge; her children and grandchildren: Eric (Mary Goldthwaite) Gagne and Zadie of Peterborough, Courtney (Brock) Lambert, Natalie and Mia of Jaffrey, and Paul (Candice) Gagne and Arlo of Rindge. She also leaves her two sisters, Pauline (Stephen) Porell of Lewiston, ME and Cathy (Jim) Brooks of Tucson AZ, as well as many family and friends.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, April 24, 2022 from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM at the Cournoyer Funeral Home, 33 River Street, Jaffrey, NH 03452.
