Brian Keith Harvey, 56, of Keene, died Monday morning, February 11, 2019, at the Cheshire Medical Center / Dartmouth Hitchcock - Keene, after a period of declining health.
He was born in Peterborough, the son of Herbert Homer and Mary (McLean) Harvey, Jr. He spent most of his early childhood in Antrim with his father before moving to Pennsylvania as an early teen to live with his mom. After high school, he had the opportunity to travel the country, living in Texas, Washington State, coming back to NH for a brief time and then moving back to Washington, before finally settling back in NH for the remainder of his life.
He worked odd jobs to support himself in those years before he was no longer able to work.
He is survived by his father: Herbert H. Harvey, Jr and his wife of 51 years, Joyce, of Jaffrey; his mother: Mary Wells of New Albany, PA; his siblings: Betty Harvey of Sopchoppy, FL, Mark Harvey of Jaffrey, Kevin Harvey of New Ipswich, Franklin Harvey of Jaffrey, Thomas Harvey and his wife Kathy of Jaffrey, and Anna Peck and her husband Dan of Greenfield, IN; as well as multiple nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling Hours will be held at the Cournoyer Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 33 River St., Jaffrey, NH 03452 on Saturday morning, February 16, 2019, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. A Funeral Service will be held immediately after the calling hours, at 11:00 am, at the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date in the spring in the family lot at Conant Cemetery.
